GENERAL INTRODUCTION OF LADAKH
Ladakh is situated in India\’s northern region. It is one of the eight union territories of India. It is the largest union territory of India by land and the second-least populous union territory of India by population. It shares borders with Himachal Pradesh to the south and Jammu and Kashmir to the west. It also shares international borders with Tibet to the east, Pakistan to the west, Afghanistan to the northwest and China to the north.
Indus, Shyok, Nubra, Suru, Dras and Zanska are the main rivers of Lαdakh. Lαdakh has huge potential in the tourism sector due to its location in the Himalayas. Leh, Pangong Lake, Siachen Glacier, Kargil, Rohtang La, Spiti Valley, Nubra Valley are the main tourist places in Ladakh.
