GENERAL INTRODUCTION OF HARYANA
Hαryana is one of the twenty-eight states of India. It is a land-locked state. It is the twenty largest State by land and the eighteen most populous state in India. It is situated in India\’s northern region. Haryana shares borders with Uttar Pradesh to the east, Punjab to the west, Himachal Pradesh to the northeast, and Rajasthan to the west and south. Hαryana surrounds the country\’s capital Delhi on three sides (north, west and south).
Some Haryana cities like Faridabad, Gurugram, and other Hαryana cities near the national capital Delhi play an important role in the Haryana economy. Haryana is rich in history, monuments, heritage, human resources and tourism with a well-developed economy, national highways and state roads.
In the Indian economy, Hαryana plays an important role. In Hαryana, the Sikh population is second in India after Punjab. The Ghaggar River is the only river which flows in Hαryana. Hαryana is also known as the milk pail of India. The historical battle between the Kauravas and Pandavas in Kurukshetra, which is situated in Hαryana.
