Kanye West announced that he is ending his tumultuous two-year collaboration with the Gap due to "substantial noncompliance."

West's attorney, Nicholas Gravante, claimed that the retailer broke their agreement by failing to open branded Yeezy stores and distributing his clothing as originally intended,

Among other things, leaving West with "no choice but to end their collaboration," according to a statement released on Thursday.

"Ye will now swiftly advance to make up for lost time by opening Yeezy retail stores," said the rapper.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Kanye West also claimed that Gap was required to sell 40% of Yeezy Gap products in its retail locations, but this hasn't happened.

Gap was criticised by Kanye West, also known as Ye, for not paying attention to him. Kanye, on the other hand, is a radical innovator who enjoys upsetting the status quo, according to Saunders.
Kanye was simply too extreme for Gap in some ways.
